How do I submit a Help Desk ticket?
Submit a Help Desk ticket for assistance with your Lake Michigan Academy-owned
device. Please describe the problem in detail for a speedier response.

Can I connect to the Internet at home using my Chromebook?
If you have WiFi at home, you can connect to the Internet using your Chromebook. The
devices are configured to route through Securly’s servers for filtering at the same level
you experience while on campus.

I don’t have Internet at home. What can I do?
It’s true that there are limitations to what you can do without an Internet connection;
however, you can still use your Chromebook by downloading files for offline use. If you
need to connect to the Internet, you can do so at community WiFi locations (library,
Biggby, McDonald’s, etc.). Comcast and Charter also offer affordable monthly plans for
qualifying families.

Do I get to keep my device over the summer?
No. All devices are collected at the end of the school year for maintenance and then
reissued at the start of school the following year.
