Joden earned a  Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and a graduate degree in (Accelerated) Master of Science in Chemistry. Joden is a graduate of Michigan Technological University, where he tutored and taught various chemistry courses for three years. Joden is from Grand Rapids originally and moved back after college.

He enjoys running, baking, cooking, and camping. Joden’s main goal in teaching is to help remove the stigma that math and science are always boring or difficult. He does this by using personal experiences, real-world applications, and hands-on tools to improve engagement.
